Let Us Prey
2015
Acrylic on Canvas
50" x 40"

I have always loved the great white shark and had painted one previously but did not feel I was quite finished. When I found the right pose I then started looking for an object that was somehow echoing the movement. I eventually found the rosary beads and kind of liked the implication of predator and predatory priest admonishment. For the first time my pattern in the background is not all ways up, down reversed etc, it is vertical to suggest the water.
